I'm working on editing Forever After, a novel I plan to self-publish sometime in the semi-near future.  I came across this conversation and just felt a need to share (and procrastinate... oh course).  So here's the excerpt:

Suddenly, I heard Justine slinking down the stairs quickly. As she made her way through the dining room, she said, “Morning, Ange.”

”You do realize it’s the middle of the afternoon, right?”

”Yeah, but I guess it’s just a habit. You know, all those years in your childhood of actually getting up in the morning.” She smirked.

”I don’t know about you but I haven’t gotten up in the a.m. since I stopped having eight a.m.’s my senior year of college.”

”It’s been a while for me too. Most of my jobs weren’t exactly nine to fives.”

”Can’t understand the appeal.”

”Me neither.”

”You wanna go out and kill something?”

”Not until I eat something! I’m starving!”

”Good point. I haven’t eaten anything either.”
